I love the way these monoblocks look, and thankfully you bought a compatible motherboard: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fb-asrock-x470-taichi-rgb-monoblock-nickel And it's 50% off, maybe a Black Friday thing.

Your radiator/pump/res should all still be fine if you want to continue using them. Same with your fittings. Maybe replace some o-rings if you need to and buy fresh tubing.

You don't want to get a new case? A lot of the newer ones are a whole lot easier to work in, especially when watercooling.

Are custom loops difficult/complex? They look interesting. I suppose they are expensive, though, once you buy all the parts? :)

I don't think custom loops are difficult...expensive and time consuming as you set them up the first time, though.

make sure you use quick release couplings and such and no kinks...if you have to do a 90 degree bend, get something solid to do it.

oh, and don't mix metals, they'll oxidize each other. :p

It's my 3rd watercool loop... My previous watercooling did well for many years except minor leak due to failed pump/ cracked reservoir and / leaking radiator fins. Just replace those parts with better one and no problem as no computer component was damaged. It was running really cool as low as 25 and high as 65. Just remember if the leak is found then you can't use computer until you fix it like you car.

I highly recommend watercool if you spent more of your money and time into the good computer and you will be more happy than using AIO or aircooling system. Usually watercooling will last longer (in my experience.. only recently died modded hd6950 that runs for almost 8 years. )

And yes I highly recommend quick release couplings and flex tube, and straight compression fittings over bended tube or 90 angle fittings. Same for distilled water without dye color.

Only aluminum will cause the a big problem... and might not able to use silver coil if nickel waterblock. (I used it into my system tho)

And of course EK WB send me weird support emails.. have to wait for answer about backplate.

Finally I picked up last 2 items ( CPU and GPU) so now I have every parts... I also found my old hx1000 after 2 hours search... haha... Just realize that vega64 required massive watts as it recommends 750 watts as sapphire box shown... o_O?

I also read some reviewer tested as 300 watts.. but I would use hx1k for be safe... haha. Well going to assemble parts into CM 690 II this weekend... on aircooling!
