You misread my comment. I said replacement not placement. Looking at the picture on their website, the PSU is made by FSP but it is a custom unit. Notice how the PSU isn't a proper rectangle but a notched brick. It's an interesting design and it looks like it makes building a machine extremely simple. I wouldn't put high wattage CPU in this thing because there's really only 1 side of the case where the heat can vent. The other vent is via the PSU's fan.

my bad and apologies.

So far this is my favorite in the ITX space. I just picked up the TK-1 (m-ATX version) for an additional workstation build at the home office and it's pretty damn easy to work in with surprising build quality. And such a clean look. I love that the case can have the feet removed and put on the bback for a horizontal build as well.

Not bad! It's on the big side for an APU -only build, but for a regular ITX + short GPU + SFX psu, it's dam nice. Decent cooling as well 👍

It's certainly not perfect, but it's a neat, albeit niche case.

Since the PSU only supports 200W, cooling really shouldn't be an issue with a downdraft cooler. If you're outputting that much heat on 200W between CPU, GPU and SSD.... I'd be surprised.

Well I'm just a lowly builder of questionable skill, but 90% of builds since COVID have been SFF/ITX.
I actually think COVID helped build a resurgence in small/mid tower PCs. Lots of people got into PCs and it feels like there's bee a ton of great mid-tower cases in the last 5 years. Mid-size is the easiest to get into and doesn't carry the SFF price premium that ITX builds and cases do.

Giant full towers are still a minority, but that's largely because the demand isn't there anymore. It's possibly more of a niche market now than SFF. Few people need multiple 5.25" bays, hot swap drives and I can't remember the last time I saw a ODD in a build.

I quite like that, it's very 'Tiny O11' in some ways, and I like seeing wood making a comeback in some builds. Obviously it's not going to house a XX90 card, but there's some appeal for a smaller, mid-power build.

this is a nifty case and perfect for an ITX mobo that has a Strix Halo CPU on it...which I expect Minisforum will make. my only complaint is the lack of front I/O.

easy fix is a Dremel as iv become more acquainted with lately lil nip/tuck and glue and bam better then factory lol

what modifications would you make to it?

edit @CMetaphor speaking of mod's...you probably could fit a couple 120mm fans on the outside vents to pull the hot air out of the chassis. look ugly as heck, but it's a start, eh? ;)

PS - I have no doubt on your PC building prowess, you have a heck of a lot more experience than I and I never threw shade at you brother. PEACE! :D

id force fit a proper minis forum rig when they come out with the 395 apu, some slits for more air flow id add external fans to aid in lil more cooling.

this might be the time to get a 3D printer, eh? then you can make the 'perfect' ITX case for any board that comes out with the RAI9M+ 395. sheesh...that is a terrible acronym, LoL!
