Seeing how you are saying the guy barely works and the budget is sort of unknown... Why not aim for some a bit cheaper parts, specially considering no oc.

I would go with an i5 750 instead of the i7 860 or a Phenom II X4 955.
I would also go for an HD4890 instead of a 5770. Sure it doesn't support DX11, but I have my doubt that the 5770 will give such amazing DX11 performance and with other games, the 4890 is ahead of the 5770 by a fair margin when it counts.

If he doesn't want to overclock, getting a very good aftermarket cooler is not necessary.

I am sorry, but seeing the situation, I would try to aim more for something that is really cost efficient.

I tried reasoning with him to go get a i5 750. Considering he's gonna be playing SC2, a few FPS, and HoN on it , i didn't think something that high was necessary.
Hmm, but he wants everything to run cool, as he said he will consider overclocking later.
But methinks the i7 860 isn't needed by him. and i5 750 is plenty.

Alright. He agreed.
Now lookling for i5 750. And probably an HD4890 .
Aiming around $150 for the HD4890, i need to keep my eyes open. Lol i like how he said that it's a 2-4 month process now fo rthe computer.

Also what's a cheaper option to the TX750, keeping inmind he may go xfire with the HD4890's.

Considering the TX750 is 89.99 after MIR on surprise special, I don't think there is a much better choice. And if he says he doesn't like MIR, tell him its a 2-4 month process, so if he buys the PSU now, he gets the MIR a month after he finished his rig:rofl:

Otherwise, if he is willing the change the case, I find this deal to be quite good. Antec P183 and CP-850 It gives him a better PSU and a kickass case :punk: Otherwise, if there is a good deal on a 650W PSU.

For now, I am quite unsure if u can get an HD4890 for 150, but if he is willing to go for used stuff, then the 2-4 month process could really be put to use and he could save quite a bit.

I'm the one skeptical with MIR's . Never got any at all.
Hmm i'll tell him, but overall he likes the airflow of the HAF better.
