I was browsing around www.cipc.com and stumbled upon this: www.cipc.com

:shok:

I'm drooling. 400$, 2 PSUs, no shipping (I'm next to MTL). Swiftech Ultra + water cooling - could it be possible to install the rad on top, using the 2 140mm fans? Ideas, ideas, ideas... Next rig? Why not.

But the question that I have concerns the PSUs. I don't know the Neo series, are they any good?

John

hopefully this link will work..... :)

www.cipc.com

You'd have to do a bit more research and see what it looks like inside to decide if it can fit a top mounted rad. (Unless you want to go silly and mount it "above the top" like mine.... the pics are the first ones in the case pics thread).

What is it that turns your crank so well on this case?

Antec build quality, internal space for water-cooling (rad on top based on your set-up - great idea!) and 2 PSUs 1200w for 400$ CAN, no shipping!

But the wife gave me the look...

Not good. LOL

Hmmmmm my link went dead like yours did......?

As far as the PSUs go.... hopefully SKYMTL will chime in here, but IIRC PSUs bundled with Antec cases are some of the few which are actually worth leaving in.... (Don't take my word for it though....).

I know, something odd with the cipc site.

I know Antec PSUs, been running a TruBlue 480 for 3 years. But like I wrote, I don't know the Neo series. I'll send a PM to SKYMTL.

I just may be able to sell the idea of that case to the wife...

What the heck.....what is a Neo-Power 650W? :shok:

It isn't even listed on Antec's website. It is probably a more advanced NeoHE unit with a 100W higher output than their 550W NeoHE.

Anyways, that is one high-quality PSU. While I haven't seen one properly tested, I know they are made by Seasonic whose name goes a long way in the power supply community.

IMO, those two PSUs alone are worth over $200.

@ lowfat: I've build the last 2 rigs (P180s) for special customer orders and I am satisfied with the quality of the cases - the way Antec designed their lay-out is a different story, though the P182 seems better (I can't pronounce myself on this since I haven't put my hands on one yet).

@ SKYMTL: are you telling me that those 2 PSUs are high-quality, worth over 200$ and installed in a case that is worth 400$? That means the case is worth somewhere less than 200$ - makes sense, since it's slightly larger and deeper that the P182, which sells for 150$ ish.

Thanks for the info; I have to talk with the lady now.

John
