I used this service for the last couple years since I moved to Tampa for two years and there was no other way to watch the Leaf games. It's a pricey service but turns out actually I really like it and don't mind paying for it. So much so that now that I'm back I still signed up for it. However, I'm learning it's different this year since Rogers has taken over the universe while I was gone. Initially I didn't like the idea but have to admit I like what I see so far.

Last couple seasons I was fighting the black outs - yes even some Leaf games are blacked out in Tampa! I found my ways to use the service I paid for though so I didn't miss much if anything. I was surprised tonight's Leafs game wasn't blacked out. Does anyone know why that is? I'm guessing that this service was usually blacked out to appease the local cable broadcasting companies, but now that is also rogers - so they'd be blacking out themselves. Wondering what people know about this. Are blackouts a thing of the past? Probably be a ton more subscribers if that's true.

Have you considered using hockeystreams.com? From what I hear, it's cheaper, has no blackouts, and includes streams from other leagues as well. Sorry I'm a bit late.

Maybe I'll look into that next year but for this year I'm set. Rogers had a deal for the first half of the season free so I went that route. I had an issue with changes they made to the service and submitted a complaint. Nice somebody actually called me to discuss it. They fixed the issue and gave me the rest of the year free. I'll look into that site though as even if I decide to stay with Rogers' service I'll have some ammo for a discussion on price. One thing I learned about Rogers when moving into my new house is their prices are flexible.
