what do you like and don't like about them?

I had a pair of Shokz Titanium open eared bone conduction given to me that I gave to my mostly deaf grandmother to use, before she died, and just had them sent to me to try out. they're different...and I'm disappointed that despite having a physical driver in them that they're as tinny as they are. :P

I bought my wife a set of AfterShokz a few years back. They're pretty good for what they are. Sound quality is enough to get by, but obviously little/no bass and not audiophile quality by any stretch. And when you crank them, they buzz your temples a bit. (Really not designed to be cranked up.)

All that said, they're great for audiobooks and quiet/medium media consumption. And the entire reason I bought them was so she could be situationally aware. At the time, we lived in Vancouver and she commuted via public transit a lot. She wanted something that didn't isolate her from her surroundings. They did a great job for that. She also wore them when she needed to keep an ear open for the baby when she was puttering around the house during naps.

In short, they're great if you need to listen to media/take calls while having your ears open to the world. But if you're primarily looking for high-end audio, then look elsewhere.
