The "New" Outlook in MS Store is the eventual only option I believe. They've been trying to push people off the "old" Outlook as I presume it'll eventually be killed off. They are definitely not like-for-like feature wise though.

That 'New Outlook' is just a wrapper over Windows Mail and it's the bane of my existence. I wish they'd have gone with a different naming convention as it's incredibly misleading. Leads to a LOT of client confusion.

Yeah been through it myself too at work. We've told most people to rollback when they have issues and disabled the toggle to switch to the "new" Outlook. Really annoying that MS had even pushed that upon Enterprise customers though.

I still use Thunderbird, maybe out of habit, but I like my data local.
Had everyone using it at a previous shop that had a huge volume of email from a large list of clients.
Very easy to customize and configure.
* archiving previous emails locally is a wonderful thing *
Never had any problems aside from themes getting funky back when they were revamping all the code.
Wasn't a big deal.

Current job pays for Outlook. I guess it works.
Don't like it much.
