I'm looking at getting a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed switcher so I can jump my DAC between my PC and my Mac so I don't have to plug / unplug so much through the day.

my concern is if it would introduce noise / interference of some sort into my audio signal.

the only 3.0 SuperSpeed I've found from a reputable brand is this one by Tripp Lite:

my iFi Zen DAC uses USB 3.0 SuperSpeed...so want to keep it that way.

edit - actually, looks like StarTech has something as well:

A DAC doesn't need usb3 for sure. Even 7 channel LPCM is at most under 7Mbps.
true...but since this DAC was designed with a USB 3.0 chip, I'd rather just stay there. makes the switcher future proof if I ever need a use for something like it later too.

I've never not had annoyances or problems with usb switching hubs. Drivers failing, "device not recognized", hearing the lovely "device disconnected" sound when you're not expecting it...

Not really worth the trouble imo. 🤷‍♂️
