anyone know of a monitor riser that can also handle the clamping a multi-monitor mount?

Not a good idea. A monitor riser simply sits on top of your desk. Clamping a mount to it will simply cause it to fall over, along with all the monitors attached. If you bolt it down, then maybe but why attach to something weak when you have the desk right there to attach the monitor arms to?

hence the question of 'is there' LoL!

that said, the arm would be what's heavy because all that would be mounted are two or three 15.6" portable displays. just looking / contemplating solutions for the limited spot I have as a workspace. :)

I'm sure you can mount something to the desk or wall. What you are asking for is a very rare requirement. You could build something out of 3/4" plywood that fastened to your desk, then mount the arms to that.

perhaps a wall...but the issue there is behind me in is a corner display full of fine china and wine-ware and that can't be moved, so I have to be a coupe feet away from the wall a there's no space for my chair between the table and chair. :p

like I said, I'm just running ideas...

edit - on the aside, does anyone know of a monitor riser about 2ft long that sits higher than usual so a keyboard could be fit under and used?

I just keep going back to the idea of 2 pieces of 2x4 with a piece of plywood the desired width spanning across them and that screwed to the desk from below. Possibly with 2 more pieces of 2x4 across the back for stability basically as @SugarJ mentioned.

Maybe a better question is why do you want to mount them to the riser instead of the desk? If it is because the monitor mount is not tall enough depending on the design some of them can simply be made taller.

I don't work at a desk...I work off a dining table in the middle of the house. I've found a couple of monitor risers that are 6" high and 39" wide, which look like it would work well for holding my laptop and a couple of portable displays on either side of it.

this one...and thinking about it, I should see if I can find any feet like this has and screw them into a piece of plywood. 🤔 any idea what feet like that would be called?
