Aqua Computer AMPINEL GPU power load balancer

Yeah. It is a "just in case" situation I suppose, but a much cheaper option than replacing the card!

I haven't been following too closely, just skimming the posts you guys have made on the issue. Are there other options to mitigate the risk, or is this a unique offering?
Second generation of wire view from thermal grizzly I think had similar safety features. At a minimum it had added a USB port so you could monitor in OS but not load balancing.

Edit: @moocow thank you for clarification I knew it had added OS monitoring (one thing I wish my 1st gen adapter had) but thought there was more that was added. Should have doubled checked before mentioning it.

No. TG's 2nd gen Wire View doesn't have balancing. It's again just monitoring and make sounds when things get out of specs (default or custom defined).

Seasonic will have monitoring directly in their PSUs, and MSI announced something similar which I assume is on their Seasonic based PSUs - but at most it will auto shutdown. No active current management - https://seasonic.com/insights/seasonic-optiguard-technology/

This specific video below outlines what concerns me about 12VHPWR/12V-2x6. You can slightly push or pull on wires and voltage will change.. you could potentially do this without realizing.
