I hope it's a win for intel, not just because they desperately need one, but I want intel to stay in the GPU market and be competitive.

Having three active competitors would help bring GPU prices back to reality. Sadly no one's competing with Nvidia on the high end right now, but maybe in a couple more product cycles if we're lucky.

I would say hold your horses because no benchmark is out and remember how excited everyone was with A-series with all the roadshows Intel's GPU division did and how it turned out to be crap? If they don't get a good product with good drivers right out of the gate, they will not score the mindspace needed.

Regarding prices, it's $249 USD for B580 and $220 for B570, so that's about $350 CAD and $308 respectively but that's a straight conversion not CAD MSRP.

I'm not saying it's a sure thing,I'm just going by how upbeat the youtubers I mentioned seemed to be about the B580 and other cards which leads me to think maybe they have already been able to test a bit and found that Intel is going to giving us what they said they would or very close this time.

I'm not holding breath either I'm just hoping thats why they seem pretty upbeat about these cards this time around all we can do is hope and pray for now.

Ultimately price and performance will get their foot in the door for some GPU market share. The will need to keep up the high level of effort and improvement to drivers/consistency to break into mainstream recommendations. I honestly think they are on a good path with GPUs if they can keep the momentum.

@wade7575 I think i get what your saying. There have been a few videos where you get the impression they have done the benchmarks and wish they could release them already. I think even Steve from GN was kinda skirting around it in one of his videos.

I'm not interested in seeing the benchmarks for my desktop... but I'm curious how this will hit on things like transcoding. Might make a good option for the server. I was thinking of fitting the 1080ti but that means I either need to liquid cool the server or return the 1080ti back to an air cooler and i'm not convinced I want to do either just yet.

My A580 does a great job at encoding when I run Handbrake and other program's,I know Intel is supposed to VVC(H.266) which is supposed to be even better.

I often use Intel QSV H.264 rather then AV1 as not everything will play AV1 and I find it is a great option for a bit more compression without having to worry about playback issue's.

I'm really looking forward to these new cards and hope they didn't screw it up and make a great workload card but it sucks at gaming,I hope they nailed both.

I changed the thread title to reflect more AIB cards being showed.

GUNNIR is working on a low profile version of B580 that are dual slots.

I don't see any summary of the interview that actually mention dGPU is being commited for Xe3 generation. That's just wccf's speculation and Videocardz mentioned how Intel said they will use Xe3 Celestial to battle Ultra Enthusiast GPU before Xe1 dGPU came out.

Maxsun is adding 2 M2 NVME slots to one of their B580 design to take advantage of the unused x8 lanes.
