With all of the talk of high intel temperatures I have been very surprised to see many threads about high ryzen 5800x - 5950x temps. idling in 40s-50s and people saying its ok. What has tour experience been like?

1.15v max, I see idle in the low 40s on my AIO, quite normal from my research, with lots of reports of people on 'stock' voltage (1.35ish) getting low 50's.

My son has a 5800x and his idles at 51c under an h100i. This would drive me crazy. lol.

I downloaded CTR 2.1 and ran through the setup. My 5800X idles around 31C on a Kraken X73. I have seen some tests go into the 80s, but for the most part gaming and benchmarks tend to run below 70C.

I watched a video by Der8auer selling his CPU offset mount, he explains part of the problem with Ryzen CPU cooling is the way the CCDs are positioned on the interposer. I haven't bought one of the mounts, but I am thinking it over.

My 5900x idles at like 31c-35c on an Nh-D15 dual-fan max load is 74c-75c, but I run a slight voltage offset of -0.05 but even with no offset I am idling around 36c-38c, plus its 30c in my backroom where said pc is.

It sounds like that AIO isn't doing very well, I did see people complaining about temps but I never looked cause my 5900x is cooler than my 3900x which is on a U12S black idle is 42c-48c load is 75c-78c

The big difference I have seen is that the 5900x single core is always much higher then the 3900x. both run with the offset voltage cause I see no loss in performance

been looking at those mounts too

"People" on the internet believe the temps are higher because they're using the lower binned 5900x's for the single CCD.

But thats just 'the internet' talking. It makes sense though; More cores + one chip + binning = higher temps.
