ASUS' new GTX 670 DirectCu II Top is one of the highest clocked GTX 670 cards on the market but there's much more than just GTX 680-like performance. It uses an excellent dual slot cooler and boasts upgraded components but with some fierce competition to contend with, is its $30 premium over the reference design really worth it?

Wow this cards cooler is boss. No kepler boost downclocks with this card! I wish either of my 670's did this good on air.

Drooling over this card imo it's the best card out there :) I love ASUS. $430 at TD currently...

I'm still running my 3870 lol...

How does this compare with the EVGA 670 FTW? I read somewhere that the FTW is the quietest 670 ever made, better than all custom coolers.

Any cooler can be quiet, quiet =/= better. While some coolers are innately quieter it is all about the fan speed. The FTW uses a fan profile that isn't very agressive and therefore is quieter. If you pick this card up and decrease the fan speed it will be just as quiet.

Yes but with the ASUS you can turn the fan up to 100% and it is still quiet.Plus the asus has no plastic except the fan blades. It comes with a back plate ,plus it has a 6 phase on the core power and 2 more phases on the memory ,a very well made card.
