Asus Maximus III Formula doesn't seem to want to boot from USB

So today I finally received the Christmas grand prize system (yay :clap. I finally have it up and running but when I want to install Win 7 from my USB key it doesn't recognise it as a boot device. The priority is set to have removable device as the first one (I assume the refers to USB sticks, as there is a separate entry for optical drives) but it won't boot.

I am going to double check that nothing is wrong with the key, but I tested it out when I made it and it worked then.

Any ideas?

usb hdd maybe? had to put that before or after the removable thingie to get it going,but that was with a linux distro


should be similar,though.

yeah I had to change it to usb hdd, though now I can't seem to see the SSD.

try with a regular drive? just in case. those things,well,combinations,can be snarly sometimes
