Not only will it be $480USD but that's just a huge board! EATX cases only; but if you're buying the FX70/72/74 packages that start at $999 money really has become no object in the pursuit of performance now. At least you don't need FB-DIMMS.

Man, that's insane. Most apps aren't utilizing dual core yet and now they are onto 4X4. I guess when prices come down it would be a good base for a server.

I also noticed 12 x SATA 3.0 Gbps ports.:eek:

Yeah, that'll be a big selling point too. EATX case, AMD 4x4, Crossfire/SLI+physics card, 12 hard drive RAID, etc... tons of cool features for those willing to pay

This whole 4x4 thing is way too limited IMO. I've heard that AMD is only going to be certifying certain memory modules, only a couple of chassis, only one heatsink.... System builders are going to be very limited in their execution of 4x4 systems.
