Asrock: ASRock Z77 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DVI HDMI USB3.0 Motherboard - ASRock - Z77 Extreme4
Asus: ASUS P8Z77-V ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard - DirectCanada

Going to do a mid level gamer, and wonder what the thinking here is as to which of these two would best fit the bill.
cpu will be 3570K
Ram undecided but likely 8GB
PSU is corsair modular
viddy comes from aging HD5850, that will be replaced later as more $ become available.

Your thoughts?

Well, Asrock uses Asus parts for their motherboards.

Asrock mobos are basically black and gold asus motherboards.

My friend bought the exact motherboard you just posted about during a sale on NCIX and it's working wonders.

'm very happy with my recent purchase with this motherboard. ASUS has a longstanding reputation as a quality producer of motherboards and this one surely does not disappoint.
