YES! That's what I'm looking for when I can afford a new system. 16 or 8/8 for direct to CPU and 8 + 1 for chipset is perfect for my plans to consolidating my server and PC together. No need to hobble a single GPU at 8x.

I know the Asus boards, like The maximus xi extreme, allow me to turn off all lights in the bios, including RGB and all LEDs.

That's because the design appeals to the 15 year old in everyone of the buyers. Much like riced out Civics, Bro Dozers, reflective wrapped cars! So glad there's a board that ditch such useless feature.

that's what's made me take a keen interest in Asrock for my next motherboard. not everything is designed with RGB.
