Maybe a new line of SFX PSUs on the horizon with the transition. Might be able to kill off the SFX-L section completely and shrink them all down to SFX.

Wasn't the most recent news WRT PSUs suggesting that they were going to move away from using efficiency rating to define the quality of PSU?

The alternate rating system uses overall efficiency (ignores meeting 20% minimum efficiency etc) and adds a noise rating. Most PSU's will like start being rated by both. A bunch should come out with similar branding but because of the low load ratings some will shift up or down a rating moving between systems.

I hope USB-C catches up soon because, as the article said, you can get 300w GaN chargers now. you can do away with the bricks for even gaming systems!
I have been eyeballing the USB-C powerboards for the consoles I stated collecting. There are a bunch out there that take in barrel jacks and you use a USB-C PD cable with a barrel jack on the other end. But RetroSix has power boards that are just directly USB-C PD in so any quality gan charger + usb-c cable is sufficient.

If the power boards on these consoles (saturn, dreamcast, n64) ever fail i'll convert them. Extra side perk is less heat inside the console itself.
