Well, since no one else has put up a price check on a 1080ti yet since the RTX3000 series was announced, I guess I will be the first. $350? $400? Or am I way off

You're not going to get many informed price suggestions until we see what kind of price/performance numbers show up in reviews for the new releases. (as well as availability and C$ gouge level).

It's been confirmed the 3080 is $1000 CAD 😅 but yeah, hard to say until 3070 benchmarks are out

Start high, dropping until you get interest? I would guess the chance of selling for a decent amount is going down fairly quick.

5 dolla! The 3070 will set the tone for the used prices. Lowest is $420 CAD and highest around $630 CAD with average about $530 ish on eBay history. If we are sticking with close to 1.4 conversion for US to CAD then 3070 is around $700 CAD MSRP. I suspect 1080TI will settle around $400 CAD. For sure I wouldn't pay $500+ for a 1080TI.

I could even see the 3060 being a decent match for it. 350 isn’t too far off IMO.

No real harm in trying high and see who bites. Sometimes people just pay silly prices for things.

It depends on where it lands TBH. Assuming prices stay reasonably constant 50% off the price of a good 2060S puts you in the 275 range. So it really depends on the delta. If the marketing target for the 3070 is the 2080Ti, it will more likely be in the 2080S class, then a 3060 hitting somewhere around a 2070S isn't that unreasonable. Which if IIRC is about what a 1080Ti matches.

However if you can get 350-400 NOW I think that is a pretty good deal imo. Unless the 3070 ends up crap.
