My wife is to blame for this and I like it!
Yeah, so late last year when waiting on a new CPU to complete a new build I purchased an AMD 3700X CPU with the intent of selling it when my desired processor arrived. It was potentially a long wait for the new CPU while having all the other hardware ready to go so I got a temporary CPU. As it turned out it wasn't a long wait after all. My wife suggested putting the 3700X in our old build which wouldn't be possible what with the old hardware involved. But the idea was planted which has led to basically a new build! The only carry over items are the PSU, GPU, some storage devices and the Haf X Coolermaster case. As it turns out the case is in the process of being replaced. I welcome the Coolermaster H500 Argb case for it's smaller presence, meeting current hardware specs and I love 200mm fans! I should have it completely assembled later today....exciting! No more fighting for computer time:) I can game 24/7!
Hardware was acquired over time and is as follows.......new components only.
AMD 3700X CPU and Wraith Prism Cooler, Aorus X570 Elite Wifi Motherboard, Samsung 1T SSD, Samsung 1T 970 Evo Plus Nvme SSD, Coolermaster H500 Argb Case, GSkill 2x8 Gb Ripsaw Ram 16 16 16 36, Asus External Blu Ray Writer.
Carry over hardware........
Coolermaster 1100w Extreme PSU, Asus Strix 1660 Ti Advanced GPU, Samsung 500Gb SSD, one 140mm case fan(exhaust), Samsung 27" monitor

The new case with the guts from the old case in the background.

I did my best to bundle and cram. You've got to totally love psu's with modular cabling!
Has anybody cut off and capped cables out of a PSU?

That's going to be a fairly hefty build for a "second" desktop. :)

The H500 was on the short list for my last build.
Thanks for saying, I was kind of wondering or hoping the same thing!
As for the H500, a pleasure to work with.
Testing testing......seems good.
Now to final cable management.....
