So couldn't you theoretically render 144 frames in a second, but the monitor isn't fast enough to display them all because say the first first 60 frames were rendered slower than the next 84? I still don't understand how G-Sync can run at the maximum refresh rate of a monitor if the monitor refreshes immediately after a frame is rendered. I have heard G-Sync still stutters at times, still don't make perfect sense to me.
Like can the monitor refresh at ANY time? or is still bound by the regular refresh cycle and just displays nothing if a frame isn't ready?
