if you prefer silver version go for it, but under the description for the Chromax, it specifically states that it supports am4. Plus if you ever decided to switch, it supports more options.

Agree. If I recall correctly the original D15 didn't fit AM4 out of the box, so they made the special version (AM4 bracket only). I could be wrong, but I think a new D15 will fit AM4.

You can always request a mounting kit for a socket that wasn't supported a time you just need to provide corresponding invoice though:
