Best case fans that are quiet

Get enough cooling and you can just run fans linear. 800rpm flat line 👌

I run aquacomputer octo for all my fans. Pretty nice software and once you set it, it doesnt need to be connected to the pc if you dont want.

... they really do spend most of their time just above stall speeds even with 5 dead fans

Might be worth considering a case with better airflow patterns too? I think the O11D-XL was more made for custom water cooling?

Depending what 5090 you bought that is, if it's a watercooled card then I guess that doesn't matter.

Yeah I had thought about looking into something else that's more airflow friendly. I love the look and setup of the O11-D with the PSU on the back side. But I'm wondering if there is better options out there.

Do you have any suggestions? Ive thought about looking into some of the fractal stuff after seeing some of the LVL1 techs builds. But I need to see whats up to date these days.

If I recall, the latest Meshify 3 reviewed pretty well.

I run Thermaltake ToughFan 14's, I find their noise profile to be acceptable. I run custom water cooling (420mm + 280mm), so I can keep the RPMs down for the most part.

I have Thermalright B12's in another PC which are also decent sounding, but some reverberation or something at certain RPMs I feel. But they are half the price of my ToughFans, and a fraction of the price of Noctua.

Might have to try a few to find what suits your ears though. Everyone's hearing is different!

Least you're honest about cable management o_O:ROFLMAO:

As soon as I saw the cable management I thought to myself "that looks just like mine" lol.

I'm also realizing I might need a bigger case as I'm not sure I can connect the 12 pin power on the 5090 without bending it. *sigh* this is how I ended up selling my original o11d and getting the evo as the the 011 didn't fit my 3090.

If you read through that thread the whole reason that 7900xtx is vertically mounted is because the waterblocks would not clear the side panel. Without the waterblock it did however fit (was lazy about installing the block) with 180 degree adapters. The wire view from thermal griz is really nice for a 180 adapter
