Black dots in BF2 with 4870 X2

Using XP right now but looks like I may be doing a reinstall XP/Vista dual boot again to see if the problem gets cured that way.

When I was running BF2 in Mac OS X on my main rig I also saw black shapes like that. Though, the ones I saw were generally slightly farther away and not spread out as much if I remember correctly. I am not sure and would have to check again.
It was the only game I can ever remember seeing issues like that in. Playability was not an issue and I suppose most of the time I just ignored them.
As far as I know BF2 always had this issue for me right from the start.

I just checked on zatar wetlands or whatever it is called.. Anyway, yea, the black spots look just like what is pictured in the first post. I was not recalling correctly when typing my previous post.
