Canon Printer Jammed

The model is Image Class MF3200.

I went to print this morning and received a jam. The paper was almost into the print tray but then stopped and jammed --- I pulled it out with some resistance. I didn't unlock the rollers, but just pulled because I'm a guy who doesn't read the manual until there's a problem.

Anyhow.. machine still thinks there's a jam, but I've turned it upside down and around 10 times, unplugged and looked everywhere. I can't see any more jams.. did I maybe damage and sensor pulling out the paper?

I just ordered a lexmark multi function for 80 bucks from future shop, so I won't be stranded.

does it say jammed on the printer, or withing windows? if within windows rebooting with the printer still plugged in, might reset it. (i offer this suggestion with no actuall experience with the problem, its just something i would try)

Actually, error is on printer so far. I tried printing while the jam was still there but only got a 'no-print' message from the print queue. The machine message is 'open print cover and remove jam'. I can't see any paper left in the printer at all... that's what concerns me the most. The paper came out clean too.

I'll try rebooting with the printer still plugged in when I go to work tomorrow... great suggestion and good place to start!

Well, I tried booting it up hoping for a reset... but no luck!

I'll have to look harder for that mystery paper stuck in the machine.

That's exactly the idea that bugs me... I hate not having a problem solved!

Anyhow, I just set up the little lexmark and am going to pass the canon onto a buddy of mine to see if he can clear and use it.

thanks guys for the help
