Honest to god guys I really don't know what's going on,I ordered a ViewSonic VA2409M and I couldn't get sound from it tried everything you could think of,then to find out that it had HDMI only sound in as well because it had just one blue 3.5mm audio jack which ViewSonic told me was for audio out only so it was going back either way now what they said.
Then I ordered basically the same monitor a VA2459 and I have tried everything within Windows 10 I can think of and I can see when I use the control panel and go to sound that the green bars are going up and down,I have went to the speaker icon on the taskbar and tried setting the monitor as the default sound source and a bunch of other stuff to no avail and this is only making me extremely angry and full of pure rage to put it extremely midly,I honestly don't what kind of world we are living in when you can't just plug the stupid cables into thing and select the audio source within the monitor and you got sound.
Also I did make sure to choose the correct audio input within the monitor I have tried using just the HDMI and also the audio cable and nothing works at all.
Can someone give me a step by step of what I maybe doing wrong,I'm also using an ASROCK ARC A580 video card and a i9 9900K CPU and ASUS Z390 mobo, the only thing I can think of is that the A580 card which is meant to be used with a 10th gen CPU and above could be a problem but that still does explain why I get sound right away with my older monitor.
I just ordered an ASUS X870E ProArt and 9900X CPU maybe that will change thing's,I noticed once or twice the sound was slow to come with the old monitor and new A580 card and maybe their bitch slapping each a bit,I just started running the A580 card and couldn't get sound either with my GTX960 card as well and new monitor.
