Echoing Ilya, I vote for the Z9, Coolermaster Elite 430, or NZXT Beta EVO, or M59.

Good Budget Choices with good cooling options.

This computer is going to be for my Dad. He doesn't need all the crazy looks and lights. Just an fyi.
The Z9 doesn't look bad.

Anyone have a comment on the Thermaltake V3?

V3 is only worthwhile if you catch it on sale under $30, in terms of cooling and cable management it's slightly inferior to other ~$35-$40 cases.

Thanks for the info.

It's only going to have an i3, not a gaming rig. So mega cooling won't be needed.
