Just an observation from playing Witcher 3 again. This could have been a positive post in the Witcher thread or a negative post here
I've said this before but I find the denizens wandering Night City to be very disappointing. I referring to just the nobody NPCs wandering the streets or in the bar, restaurants, etc. Even the ones you can talk to have nothing interesting to say unless they are part of a quest, as far as I've found. The end result is, imo, they make the city feel less immersive rather than more, even though there are tonnes of them. Opportunity lost I think.
Compare that to Witcher 3 wandering NPCs. Every major town or city you enter seems to have people doing stuff and even lots of little dialogs, stories about events that you can listen to. Always makes me wonder if it is something I need to hear, or additional info that could add to quests, or just flavour added in to make the world more alive and immersive. Seems the latter in most cases.
Anyway, just wish they had put that level of detail into Night City. I really would have appreciated it.
