Got my SN550 1TB for $125 (before tax) around X'mas. The lowest was ME at $120 but I was getting a SN750 500GB at the same time and it was cheaper to just buying it from CC at the same time after factoring in shipping. Did AData do a silent downgrade on the S11 Pro like they did on SX8200?

If he can track down a RTX card then he will need a bigger power supply. Just a thought.

That's true. He isn't doing that any time soon, but a good power supply should last him several years so worth considering. Personally although the 650 is enough, I'd be more comfortable if he went 750, just for these maybe type considerations.

Not sure. I haven't read anything saying they have, but I wouldn't be surprised. Even if they did swap (as much as a dislike the company for doing it), the S11 Pro would still be as fast or faster than the sn550 and it costs $20 less right now.

Edit: Found what I was looking for WD Blues are QLC and blacks are TLC. TLC being not only faster but rated for a higher MTBF i went black over blue.

As of mid January the 1TB S11 Pros were still shipping with the original controller.
