Hey all I'm interested in getting a Cisco router to learn more on networking. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which one I should get. Also it should be a small business class router wifi not required vpn capabilitieswould be great thanks.

As for what model - that depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I would stay away from anything "small business" because the feature set is reduced and does not conform to enterprise standards. You'll likely want an older enterprise router so you can learn the CLI, proper networking, etc... I've got a few older Cisco routers you can have if you just pay for shipping. let me know.

I suggest just picking up an old enterprise rack mount from kijiji (or similar) as they are often dirt cheap and a good starting point.
