Well picked it up yesterday, still awaiting my RMA pump so havnt got to play it yet, played the Demo before my rig went down thought and loved it, Iam not interested in the SP just the MP, single player FPS seam soooo lame IMO after playing MP, maybe cod will be different but I doubt it.

I know exactly what map your talking about! Shipment I think its called and yes it does suck a lot especially when you have more than 10 people in the server, what a gong show that map is! I love this game aswell, the whole leveling up thing is pretty interesting and it gives you some sort of motive to play online a lot more.

I usually skip over the single player parts of FPS's. but COD4 is actually pretty damn good in single player. I played it for about 4 hours yesterday, I was quite impressed

Is it moe challenging than the demo SP? While fun it certinly wasnt hard.

Crank up the difficulty and it provides a decent challenge

PunkBuster??

When I installed the game initially, I didn't opt for the punkbuster installation because I didn't think I'd ever be playing multiplayer, and I'd heard some bad things about punkbuster- however i was able to enable punkbuster in the options menu before logging on to the servers- anyway now that I can play multiplayer, I keep getting booted off the servers- can't remember exactly what the message is, but it says something like "babrbarossa punkbuster kicked player babrbarossa (for 0 minutes), no packet flow.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with my unconventional internet connection.

Still got dial-up access? If so then you could do a quick test with that. You don't have to stay and play because your posterior would be handed to you faster than you can ping them but it would serve for a small test.

Update punkbuster, anytime I have been kicked on a server, not necessarily cod, and got a PB kicking message it was PB needing a update.
