CoolIT Freezone CPU Cooler

Barf! Give me $400 and I'll build a water cooling system that will do a better job of cooling your CPU, and it'll cool your video cards too. How's that for a bonus!?

Honestly, I'm sure this thing works, it just doesn't justify the price. I just saw a Vapochill LS for $600 no taxes + shipping. A smart shopper just couldn't justify paying this much.

Well, the reviews certainly didn't impress me much.

I wish folks would include ambient temp when they're testing Cooling products.

Mine runs about 26c @ idle (5c above ambient) and tops out @ 40c full load with a pretty hefty OC.

They make it look and sound like it's some form of refrigeration (I was curious about how they got around condensation issues), but obviously with the temps they're showing @ Idle it's no better than a decent WC setup. (and mine is a relatively cheap WC setup).

I wouldn't use a Sonata II for a watercooled SLI computer though;

needs to be a bit roomier methinks

Actually I should take back what I said before. I think that this product *has* a niche market. For those that are not willing to go to the trouble to set up a proper water cooling setup, and don't care about their video card(s), this may be the best solution. Water cooling is still best for me.
