Corsair 700D Watercooling Loop Advice

I'm in the process of designing a new build in my trusty Corsair 700D case. It's still one of the nicest cases I've ever seen, way overbuilt, and massive. Most newer cases are ditching all external drive bays which is a no-go for me as I use my BluRay drive weekly for ripping media.

I currently have a Swiftech Laing D5 pump mated to a Monsoon dual bay reservoir. This works great for my needs and I'd like to avoid spending the extra $100+ just to change to a non-bay based reservoir. I'm planning to replace the 10 year old radiator with a newer model and replace all the fans with ARGB ones. I also plan to use PETG tubing this time around.

If you want the absolute lowest temps for the CPU, you'd do the radiator fans as intake. But in this case, since it will be sucking in a bunch of dust, I like the way you have it routed.

Something that stands out is that some of the heat from the PSU if loaded heavily and running warm might get sucked in by the rear intake as you have it now.

I disliked bay res's for the annoyance of filling and bleeding, i'm happy I stopped using them.

I liked working with PETG to a certain extent. I found the jig more annoying than free handing it... but I found it annoying for how often I typically change things up. Want to try a new paste, need to drain a PETG system to remove the tubing to remove the block etc, where soft tubing unscrew it without draining the system and just move things around to make room. I'd probably not do it again unless it was a system I had zero-intentions of changing components out.

Once it's built, it's going to stay this way for a couple years with the minor exception of adding a water cooled GPU on the next generation.

I was one of the suckers who bought a eVGA GTX 1080 FTW early in the build cycle. Almost no one made a water block for it, except eVGA themselves and now they're discontinued. I can't use the FTW3 blocks as the board layout is different. Next time I think I'll likely bite the bullet and get the Hydro Copper version.

Are Bykski blocks any good? I've heard of them, but know noone who's used their stuff.

Bykski and Barrow seem to be the major brands of China currently, but I haven't used any personally. GPU blocks aren't very complex, so really as long as it fits properly and makes contact I think you'd be fine. Maybe just buy it from a store with a decent return policy if you don't like how it fits?

Watercooling the GPU has more notable temperature and noise decreases than the CPU so it would be worthwhile to do.

Absolutely Water Block GPU.....dont really see the point of a Custom Loop and leaving a GPU on air.....
