COVID is proving itself to be quite worrisome.

...and if we assume most people have caught COVID by now, asymptomatic or not, that means there's going to be a lot more people needing specialized care in the near future, especially as the tail end of the "Baby Boomer" generation retires...

Great time to be in a recession with healthcare jobs not paying nearly enough to attract new talent

so, now with 2 years of COVID data, its been spotted that there is a 3.5x higher liklihood of getting Alzheimer's, 2.6x more likely diagnosis of Parkinsons, 2.7x higher chance of stroke and 4.8x more likely to suffer a brain bleed.

AYE YI YI!!!

Just to make sure people who don't read the article know this is not something new.
From article:
Zarifkar does note the increased risk of these neurological conditions following COVID-19 does mirror what has previously been reported following cases of influenza or bacterial pneumonia.
We saw increases after the Spanish flu as well.

Not discounting anything though, just pointing it out. Also one thing I would be very interested in knowing, do they have the data with regards to who was vaxed (single, double, triple). I'm very curious to see if there is any difference statistically for better or worse.

I'd like to see that data specifically. including unvax.

I will say that this is the first time in my life that I researched the legitimacy of a website before going to it and reading anything there.
Yes, there's a lot of info around and a lot of misinfo so it needs to be checked. Here's the actual study:

Cambridge Long Covid Study

Here's a UK doctor on YouTube I've followed since the start of Covid - he has regular videos dealing with Covid and Covid studies along with other health professionals.
UK Doctor John Campbell

so, another study that monitored over 150,000 COVID patients with an average age of 61, it shares finding that having had it appears to lead toward further neurological problems, like stroke, migraine, seizures and even Alzheimer's. now it's not gong to give you Alzheimer's, but if you have the predisposition for it, having COVID might be what pushes you over the edge.

from the 42% of COVID survivors, they found 77% had increase risk of memory issues, 50% increase risk of stroke, 80% increase of seizure and 30% higher chance of problems with your eyes.

well, they've just come out and said that if you've had repeated cases of COVID-19, you're now at risk of further heath issues.

I really have to be a unicorn of avoidance or zero for symptomatic in terms of Covid.
I've had 4 shots in total now (I think thats the magic number for me, I'm probably going to skip the new vaccine that's out) and never had it to the best of my knowledge.
I've done 2 Anti-Body tests through Lifelabs as well, both negative.

To the best of my knowledge I've been exposed at least a dozen times even. And nothing.

I do feel bad for those with long Covid. I know a few. My wifes work has lost 3 people to it, and a few of the vendors I deal with have lost people as well. The age range is so dramatic that it makes little sense. Other than it always appears to exacerbate known or unknown pre-existing conditions or predispositions.

There is a recommendation by HCP's to not get a vaccine for 90 days after having COVID . This is likely what your doctor meant.

If any doctor recommends not getting a vaccine (for a non-medical reason) they should be reported to their governing college.
