k, havn't got my new CPU heatsink yet but i have gotten the temp down and its holding at about 43c by removing 2 front bay covers and zip-tying a fan in there.
so i decided to try the CPU folding and it says my CPU is being used at 1/2 load ish but it doesn't seem to be doing anything? heres a log, can anyone tell me what's wrong?

The CPU clients get much bigger WU's than the GPU clients, it takes them much longer to perform each step. Is that running on the quad in your sig or on the P4 you mentioned in another thread. Also are you using XP or Vista as that makes a difference when running a GPU client alongside the CPU one...

Edit; oops too slow againnn...

Unlike the P4 the quad is perfect for the SMP client, both my quads are running the SMP alongside the GPU one. To give you an idea, they get ~1850 to 2200 ppd with the 2665 [1920] WU and 2570 to 2680 ppd with the 2653 [1760pt] WU. Each step takes around 15 mins. with the more common 2665 WU. I have never ran the standard CPU client but if decide to stick with it you could probably run more than one instance of it on a quad...

If your going to run two videocards make sure you follow the guide closely especially with mismatched vidcards. In case you don't know, you will need a seperate moniter hooked up to each card then extend your desktop across both. And don't make the noob mistake I did and forget to turn the second one on, at least during the configuration...

ya i seen that posted in a thread earlier today about the 2 monitor thing, i use 2 anyway.. so that wont be an issue. ;) would i be able to turn 1 folding client off on 1 gpu to play a game and still let the other fold at the same time without getting video lag? cause i forgot i had the gpu client on yesterday and i went into a cod4 server and was skipping all over the place. lol

If you set them up right they should be independant of each other, make sure you put in the ' -local ' flag so they aren't trying to fold the same WU :thumb:...
