But how do I add the following -local -forceasm -verbosity 9 and where?
I have created a shortcut, but can't seem to find the right location.

Man, do i stink at this...

Thanks for your time. And She-who-must-be-obeyed said no. We'll see in a week or so...

np

create a shortcut to each of the FAH504-Console.exe's then right click on the shortcut and select properties.

in properties put them on the end of the target

mine looks like this:

"D:\WIN SMP\fah.exe" -forceasm -verbosity 9

Got it. Done for both shortcuts. Is that normal to have such huge WUs (1 000 000 and 4 000 000 steps!)? Check out the screenshot in my previous reply.

yes ... they vary a lot depending on what simulation model they use and the complexity of the protein they are simulating.

If you want to read a bit out each, you can find them all here:

Folding@Home Stats

here is 3402: Folding@Home Projects

and 2146: Folding@Home Projects

there is more info on the psummary page that lists every project that servers are currently handing out: Folding@Home

Soon you will be able to convince your wife you are a scientist

Good; I didn't know that you could find this info.

We'll see how it goes in 48 hours.

Thanks!

Guys, I'm good.

It took me a couple of days, but I finally convinced She-who-must-be-obeyed to let me order a new mobo. The cost is to complete the basement ASAP, but I think that's worth it.

Since I cannot stand having a stock CPU. That E2140 has it too easy @ 1.6.

So I ordered the XFX 650i from NCIX - on special for 79$. I'll be using the Arctic Cooler 7 on it.

We'll see later next week how it overclocks.

Great!!!!

It'll be interesting to see what you can push out of both the chip and the mobo......

If you've found an $80 mobo that OC's decently you'll be doing a public service to let us know!!! :)

Well if he did, that would probably push me over to the Dark Side.

@ 3.0charlie: I hate stock too, there is definitely something unholy about stock settings.:bleh:
