A Corsair 4000D Airflow clone case with an Intel 7th gen i5 and a GTX 1660 Ti 6GB for $400. At most it's $250 to $300? Case looks okay but the rest are just Linux or Hacktintosh grade stuff. 4C/4T with a 6GB GPU aren't going to do anything but run Youtube or serve files / media these days. The case isn't a NAS case so you have to get a used Fractal and swap out the GPU for a HBA or RAID card. Usable but not very valuable.

I rather spend the $40 on a new pack of underpants from Costco. At least clean up the case before posing pictures. Don't get me wrong, it's an interesting case since there are plenty of drive bays. A bit pain in the ass to work with but you could get a 200mm and 240mm rads, a 5.25 inch bay res to build a retro water cooled machine. Everything in the case including the fans are ewaste at this point.

So according to Techspot, it's a real Pascal card. But $100 for a 2GB card these days is insane. It's only good for media machine but it got no future support and Linux Nvidia driver install process is like stabbing your arm with toothpicks.

Heh.... yeah, that's nuts.

What would be a reasonable price for a generic video card? $25 just because somebody might have a processor without IGP and needs to output video?

For this one, I would say closer to $50 because it's low profile card which is hard to find these days. I swear that I'll never deal with low profile case ever again. Looking at FBM Vancouver, a 4GB Nvidia Quadro P1000 is $100, that's about the same as what I paid from a member here.

The p620 I shoved into the server was $40, I wouldn't touch that 1030 for any more than that. And the 620 is not just low profile but also single slot. That 1030 looks like it is low profile but double slot.

Yeah this is e-waste, not even $300. Canada Computer got a basic pre-build for $500 using an AMD 5600GT, 16GB of RAM, 500GB NVME, and Win11 Home for $500 before tax.
