I'd go with 2X1gig over 4X512 any day.

Getting 4 sticks to play nicely with an OC can be a pain in the butt.

God Damn I paid $360:shok:

This is some nice stuff KILLER, hits like 287 for me, I think in that DFI you might be able to sqeeze a few more out of it, Muskin forums has a slew of settings for your DFI BTW.

Personally I would go with that Redline kit, wait I already did:ph34r: , your not going to get a chance to upgrade you RAM later if it's not up to snuff.

Mushkin all the way! 2x1GB over 4x512MB any day like sswilson said.
4x512mb will kick you into 2T
And if you didn't know 2T is like straining peanut butter through a cheese cloth, it'll work but it aint going to be pretty.

Well, i knew that it was better for overclocking as i personally tried it... but as for it's better when you run 2T ... i didn't knew that! :thumb:

Heh.... the old (2T) + higher clock speeds vrs (1t) with lower ones discussion..... :)

I spent a lot of time playing with this on my 3700+ and found in the end that the throughput/performance between the two was pretty close. The only deciding factor for me was which FSB/CPU Multi worked better for my proc.

(With 4 sticks you're often forced to use (2t) so you don't have the option to try both settings)

Maybe I should have been clearer:

2T Sucks. esp on 939 rigs, sure it's not as bad a hit as say single channel v dual channel but still from the coin he is spending I would think he would want to get as much as possible out of his rig.
LMAO

Edit: Yeah sswilson I went back and forth, up and down too, like I said it's not a whole lot but for me there was a difference.
