A rumour only, but apparently the big memory players are all considering shutting ddr3 and ddr4 production this year, which could lead to supply issues/cost increases in H2 of this year.

Obviously this is inevitable eventually, but FYI if you think you may need to stock up during a good sale.

I can't imagine the demand for DDR3 is anything substantial now. Maybe the occasional 'key' system that can't be replaced and has a stick die and *needs* a replacement DDR3 stick.

DDR4 would be in a slightly better position, but I suspect there's enough inventory floating around for either that it shouldn't be a concern for some time.

servers. almost all my DDR3 sales are servers and often times I have to direct them to listings on eBay.

I have more than 100GB of combined DDR3/DDR2/DDR1/SDRAM laying around. Considering their limited capacity it is quite a few sticks. I should finally try to find homes for all of it.

Yes, yes you should. Ddr3, no big deal, but ddr2/1/SDRAM?!?!?

no idea who'd want the SDRAM, I but I bet you'd find places for the DDR / DDR2 for peeps that want to build a retro box for XP era gaming.
