So killed 2 boards? Something must be shorting out somewhere... I would check all the case stand-offs before you put in this mATX board like Izerous said.

CPU might be dead too if both boards have died from shorts.

checked pads underneath 0 bubbles/burn spots. yeah ill be pulling the cases power extension plug as well before i put it in the case, would the twist ties i used cause this? i reused the white twist ties in some spots. im going ground level on testing for sure next set of parts.

new board, new psu (stock Cables) testing outside case, no TG Contact Frame, and ill make sure to true the case's interl power extension plug,

ordered Nylon standoffs as well to eliminate even those.

ill stick with the default ilm this go round, the mounting for aio is pretty solid doesn't touch board in ant capacity. im hoping the new inserts help as well.

would the argb hub being attached to the backplate of motherboard even with the sticky double sided tape be a issue.

i may have to create something for this if its a issue the argb hub is plastic with a plastic lid as well no chance of any of the rgb plugs touching anything else.

I would only really be concerned about metal touching, plastic shouldn't be conductive. Does it have any magnets in it though? That could be an issue.

Keep it as simple as possible for the first boot inside the case I'd say. Don't hookup any RGB stuff, maybe even skip front USB/audio too.

yeah ill test outside case with the psu ensure it's working, pull the power plug extension to rule that out as well had a faulty one in a mechanic C4 case and Ghost S1,

ill go as minimal as possible also ill make sure none of those white twist ties dont have any bare metal touching the case.

just thought of another possible cause i use the noctua fan controller for the fans in this rig, it has 4 lil magnets its placement is close to the psu not right on it there is a metal wall separating it. hmmm ill add it the the list to test as well. i have 3m sticky pads i can drill out the magnets if that's a issue and just use them.

I'd be surprised if a PSU is affected by a magnet... only thing I can think of in there even remotely possible is like a relay or something?

Honestly? Check if your board can post without a CPU? Or post without RAM or a GPU to force different behavior. The problems persisting after changing mobos makes me think the problem isn't them, but something that was connected to them.

And where did you buy your CPU? Curious/worried

They'd worked outside the case when new board arrive sill be testing every possible inch of the rig everything that can be tested outside and inside.

Hmm. Interesting (frustrating for you, I know, sorry). And this is the third mobo that posts fine outside the case and doesn't post inside the case? Let me dig into the manuals for it...

Edit: which case is it again?
