Thanks for your help. The thing is, i will be using dedicated sound and PCI cards anyway, so i don't know if the P8Z77-V has anything else to offer for the extra cost. Also i'm not sure how the performance/features of the P8Z77-I DELUXE compares to the P8Z77-V LX?
These days, you buy motherboard for features and overclock abilities. Given the same CPU and GPU at default settings, motherboards of the same chipset more or less run within a few percentage of each other. P8Z77-I Deluxe will probably not be your board because it only has 1 PCI-E 16 slot for GPU, or any PCI-E card.
Multi-GPU: V-LX doesn't support SLI but only Crossfire so you are stuck with AMD GPU. V appears to do both.
PCI-E: V-LX only has 1 PCI-E x16 slot, the other one is a x16 slot but runs at x4 only. V x16 slots will run in x8.
PCI: V-LX has 3 PCI slots but V only has 2.
Wireless: V has wireless card built in
SATA: V has 2 more SATA port
Audio: V has a better audio chip, not that it matters in your case
Overclock: not expert in this area but V has a 12 phase power instead of 6 phase in V-LX
