A group of private investors will pay 25% premium over Sept 25, 2025 share price in cash ($168.32 + 25% = $210). I suspect it's another Saudi diversification plan since their public investment fund is one of the lead investor. Let see how it goes because a lot of their investments like NEOM isn't exactly doing well.

There's a chance this could be better. Just depends on what the potential new owners want from it. More companies should go private imo.

Private Equity isn't a lot better IMO. When Warren Buffet basically view them as scam, you know there's a problem. Furthermore, there has been a lot of cases where PE use leveraged borrowing to load up the companies they brought out with debt to pay themselves and then let them die. With a Sovereign Fund being one of the investor, I think it's less likely they will load it with debt and then kill it. EA is just like Ubisoft, a lot of slop and no new ideas, there's a reason why indies are killing the large studio. No one cares about RT and all these fancy looking details if the game mechanics and plot sucks.

Most likely due to the value of some of those IPs or agreements. I imagine EA's sports divisions make hand over fist money yearly with their titles.
 
This is an acquisition by the Saudis and Kushner. It's bad for EA, worse for BioWare and Worst for gamers.

Echoing a reddit comment I made:

New Mass Effect 5 DLC to include;
- Stoning Liara to death for her sinful bisexual ways.
- Dismembering the Normandy reporter for publishing articles critical of the citadel.

well we re in a timeline that will prob allow this to happen time to go back to older games that told a story not force fed political views that are unhinged.
