Hey ya'll,
This is the GPU in question in case it helps: https://www.evga.com/articles/01123/evga-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-ftw3-hybrid/ I got involuntarily upgraded to this thing from a non-hybrid one after a warranty issue.
I submitted a question to EVGA about this, but wanted to get ya'lls advice and any information just in case they don't give me an answer that helps.
I want to replace the fan on this thing. The stock one rattles like the bones on my grandmother. It's a 3 pin (2 pin) cable coming off the GPU cooler, and I have a couple Noctua NF-P12 1300 3pins sitting around that would work great.
My question(s): Could I run a Y splitter off this guy and push/pull? How will the two fans react to the onboard fan control? Is it even worth my time, should I just stick one fan on it and forget it? Anyone with experience with doing this on a card? I'm mostly concerned about the amperage coming off the GPU being able to handle two fans, and I was unable to find information about it anywhere. I am not sure if EVGA will actually tell me this info, but I have asked them.
Thanks!
