Anyone rocking a 1080ti, 2060, 2080 can always do the kraken mod. It's a little pricey but it sure does work. If it didn't, I would have kept this card.

Let's be honest 700 ish for a 1080ti is pretty crazy. Braineater gave me another 1070 for my son so I'm good for a bit... This 3080 would have been completely cpu bound. My max OC is 4.3 all core. If I had the choice, I'd be plugging in a 5950.

I have a 1070Ti from brand OC3D has 3 fans and a odd side fan thick heatpipes after a quick clean new pads and LM the GPU runs really cool. Just hope I can get a 3090 Fe.

Even with inflation on currency value that still puts the card at Sub $250.

I actually think I remember getting the GTS250's on sale for under $200. And I actually checked my old NCIX invoices, I got a pair of PNY XL8R GTX470's for $292.47 each.

That was one card removed from the 'halo' 480. Now, it costs more than a computer to get a GPU.

Sounds about right for the 460. When I bought 460's for a friend, they were the EVGA EE (External Exhaust) 1GB models. And Invoice shows $192.02 each ($15 MIR).

At this point, there is no game that compels me to build a PC. The RTX 2070 on my 51M is a 'full fat' version and can push 1440p without issue. So I'll just keep using it for now until some sanity comes to play.
I think Intel, as crazy as it sounds, will be some of that. If they do a serious 'under cut' on AMD and nVidia, they can scoop market share by the truckload. And with Raj at the helm, I think there is a lot of inherent trust their GPU's will be done right.

Damn missed this.....my notification for the same Card doesnt come up until 12 Oct......painful, if anyone has anything similar come up please let me know!!

I am in 3 queues at EVGA for the 3080 FTW3, the Hybrid FTW, and the Hybrid XC Ultra. My Hybrid FTW is only 4 min away now. The hybrid XC is about 25 min away. I saw the Hybrid FTWs moving a little yesterday, they are almost at 9:05 and my time is 9:08:40. My FTW3 is 9 Oct at 10:09 and I'll stay in the queue if I get a hybrid first and I am ahead of you for the air cooled version. I am willing to work with forum members at cost for whatever Hybrid I get second.
