I have 2 of these in the basement right now and been quite happy with them.

Resin printer and related stuff sits on one and filament printer on the other. Drawers provide storage and bottom shelf has been great to hold filament spools.

I find it more than sturdy enough however a small sheet of plywood spanned across the back legs just like how the peg board is wouldn't hurt if you wanted to take it a step further.

Also the price for what it is is nice.

That might be the special sauce I'm looking for. The price is certainly right. :)

I'm going to head out and get a look at what's available in stores locally, but that's a pretty strong contender. I'm hoping that printing off 3D "chocks" for the wheels will prevent it from wobbling, but if I have to I'm sure I can source some kind of height adjustable feet/legs for it.

edit: This one that I posted earlier is also a possibility. Looks to be 40lbs + heavier.

Was thinking how poorly Canadian Tire is know around here for treating customers and such (including myself). Was not thinking that far into ownership etc.

Off hand I'm not aware of any other similar workbenches from actual Canadian retailers that I thought would work well without resorting to just building something custom.

Even from say ikea (not Canadian but not US) I struggled to find anything I thought would work really well with an aggressive corex/y machine.

The only issue(s) I've had with CC over the years was them diving deeper into a relatively easy to diagnose engine issue than I had authorized. They started pulling off the valve covers when all I wanted them to do was to get a mechanic to have a listen to give a general prognosis on if the engine more than likely needed a partial rebuild (I ended up having a different engine from a wrecker swapped in). That's close to 30 years ago though. :)

Aside from that, I've never had an issue with a return if a product didn't live up to expectations.

And yes.... for anybody out there wondering why I'm looking for a beefy/stable printer "cart", your description of an "aggressive" corex/y is a perfect description of the issue. :)

I have the 77" long version of that diamond bench in my workshop, along with two standing cabinets. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/...-diamond-series-77-x-20-x-38-in-0687305p.html

10/10. I recommend it to anyone. I picked it up during Covid on sale for about $500, but the lowest sale price I've seen on it for the last year or so is that $599 it's on for now.

What I'm trying to say is that I think you'd be happy with either of the versions you posted.

My work uses uline, anything I've seen come in has been very good quality. I think their prices and shipping were at the high end of all our options. We also have grainger.ca on our approved supplier list, maybe they have what you want?
