Folding a la GTX 285

Well guys, I am finally folding with this GTX 285 and I have found a happy medium for performance per watt. Basically, the core is underclocked to 650Mhz and the Shaders to 1740Mhz. I was able to take the shaders all the way up to 1910Mhz for the 384pt WU which resulted in a stunning 9712 PPD but for some reason that overclock was not stable for the 511pt WUs.

This thing is a monster when it comes to folding and it is very efficient. I am drawing ~ 283W with the settings below.

Anyways, here are the final results with a SINGLE CARD for both a SMALL and LARGE WU. Pictures scaled accordingly for smaller screens:

Awesome results SKY. Just curious here but how does one go about checking the watts? I'd like to check mine to.

I have a UPM power meter. You can purchase one at Canadian Tire.

As I suspected but was curious if there was sort of hardware monitor built into the mobo/vid that could give a readout. I may just pick one up seeing I bought myself a 6500watt generator so I can use a meter for that as well.
BTW what's the folding temp on that 285 with your core and mem lowered like that? Have you notice much of a difference from stock?

Fan speed?

Nice ppd for that card - the GTX280 needed full-blown shaders for ~8000 ppd.

Fan speed is at 50% constant.

Awesome PPD from that card, the only things that could beat it are a GX2, a 295 [in XP] or an i7 running linux SMP. You might be able to get that shader OC stable with the 511pt WU with a lower temp, mine get touchy if they get much over 60*. Not sure the increased fan noise and power draw would be worth it for you though...

I hit the 10,000 PPD mark again with a shader OC of 1877 Mhz but that was with the fan at 100% and the 384pt WU crashed the driver after 15 minutes.
