Well the E8400's are all sold out now, EVERYwhere. BUT, if you want one, just with a different name (and probably better Overclocking ability), I announce to you all the Xeon E3110! Seriously, it is a E8400 only grabbed from the "Better" bin. Intel Xeon UP Dual-core E3110 3.0GHz Processor, BX80570E3110 , FrontierPC.com Canada

Edit " We will be getting at least 20 of these CPU's into our vancouver store tomorrow, around noon. I'm setting some aside for Canucks!"

and just to clear it up...there is absolutely no proof to the fact that Xeons are from a better bin. they are just like any other processor out there. some are good, some are bad, some are killer. there will be just as many great E3110s as there are 8400s and just as many poor clockers as well. remember, Intel bins them for operation at stock voltages and stock clocks...not overclocks. a lot can happen between 3GHz @ 1.125v and 4GHz @ 1.3~1.4v. that is, if Intel actually bins them at all...

Yes 3oh6, I agree 100%, that there is no proof. It's just in Theory that they "should" be better chips. Only time will tell I guess. Oh, I also got confirmation, that we are bringing 20 CPU's into stock in our vancouver store by tomorrow noon. I am having 5 of them set aside under my name, so that I can give forum members a chance to grab one before our regular sales gobbles them up! My name is Paul, just ask!

so far there have been a few great examples and a few mediocre with a good pile in the middle so its looking about the same as E8400 batches. now, the real question is if you will know the FPO/batch#s on these ones. if so, i might be interested in a couple. i really shouldn't be buying anymore until i can get E8500s but you know how the addiction goes...
