Wolfenstein Series is on sale on Steam right now. I'm not a big FPS fan, but I'd say Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a bargain at $11CDN if you've never played it.

Fallout NV prime game of the month!
Free is free, I know, but how long in the tooth does that one feel these days? I know that was a very popular Fallout and I believe I completely missed it. I'll grab it 'cause... well, free, but just wondering if it's worth sitting down and playing in late 2022.

I know what you mean…but it is still added to my list of games I haven’t played. Who knows if I ever will give it a shot.

I'm probably going to give it a shot during my vacation. Will be doing a bunch of mods. I don't think I ever finished the game TBH the first time. It was such a buggy mess for me at launch.

If you can go back and play 3, FNV is very playable. If you can play F4, you'll probably still like FNV. Only real improvement in F4 vs NV was graphics and power armor feeling like a 'powered armor' and not just another set of clothes.

Dialogue, plot and setting are substantially better than F3/4. Combat and gunplay are clunky like 3, but it's played more for plot, environment and exploration than gunplay. Also hands down has the best Fallout DLC to date.

There's probably Wabbajack sets to mod in better graphics, QOL changes and bugfixes in a couple steps or two. If you don't bother with a lot of mods, at least get the unofficial patches. They're nearly required.

I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. I've been holding off in hopes of the Fallout 4 New Vegas mod being released, but it's probably years away. Might go back to FNV soon instead.

Also; if you have both F3 and FNV there's a mod called 'the tale of two wastelands' that basically lets you merge them into a single game.
