Anyone buying anything from the Steam sale?

Thinking about picking up Days Gone. I've liked the rest of the Playstation games I've played so far. And its reviewed pretty well. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1259420/Days_Gone/

Want both Spirderman games too, but still too pricey.
I played a few hours of it and enjoyed it. I got pulled away for something and always meant to return to it.
Likely will when I finish up ghost of tsushima.

The Steam sale has really lost its *ahem* steam over the last few years. Feels like discounts are getting less and less, while the time it takes for a game to go from release price to a reasonable discount is longer and longer.

I'll pay $30 for a AAA game. $40 even if it's amazing, but the pricing has gone wonky. The worst example I've been following is Octopath Traveller. Still $42 for Octopath I on sale and it was released in 2019.

Simarly Armored Core VI is $56 on sale for the base game and it's been out for a year this August. It's really cut my buying down significantly.

It is worth double checking some bundles take shadow warrior for example.

Because I had all the others it actually let me buy the "bundle" for $7 and the only title I was missing was #3 even though it is listed as $26 in the bundle.

BG 3 at 20% off has me finally tempted to see what the fuss is about?

...But I probably wont since this is my upcomming schedule;

Thursday-Monday - Maligne Lake 3 day Canoe trip
9th July - New Last Epoch season
Late July - PoE new season
August Long - 5 day trip to Revelstoke for some MTB & Rock climbing with my cuz.
August 6th - D4 new season
2 weeks mid August - Work trip to Winnipeg
Sept Long - Lake O'hara camping for 3 nights.

Okay, so thats only what I have planned up to, but shit thats practically winter again, which means skiing planning has to begin! banana

So I'm really not sure where I'd fit in BG3  Probably could squeeze some time in the Hotel during that shitty trip to Winnipeg I guess...

Well if you think the price is low enough you can always buy and play it "when you have time"... whenever that is! They don't expire ;) Trust me.

Of the 303 games I own in my combined digital library, 143 still have a Never Played status. I do realize though that I am quite proficient at game sale collecting lol

And again, for the folks that have Prime, and might be interested, they have Hitman: Absolution, and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.
Just skip Absolution people. It's the worst Hitman game. It's so cringey it's painful, and way more limited than the other games. Add it to your collection for free, sure. Just go play the Hitman 'world of assassination' games instead

It is a pretty good game though is pretty repetitive. I have done one playthrough and it took me 64 hours though I did do everything I could in that game and some of those hours are spent paused doing other stuff.

I would rate it a 7.5/10. Above average but not a great game. One thing I don't like is the story is on rails and there are no choices or a way to alter the story.
