Gaming Routers - ?

For what it's worth, I had one of those DLink gaming routers, 4300 something. It died after about a year. Didn't see much improvement over a regular cheap linksys.

hate to kick a horse again, but is it entirely possible to get a router that prioritizes gaming packets over youtube? If so, I'm looking for one RIGHT NOW.

well that shouldn't be too hard. You would have to use QOS and set rules for the ports a particular game uses. Other than that you would need some sort of content filtering system that could inspect the content of the packets and apply the filter. Since that is usually only on extremly expensive solutions. you might want to impose QOS based on Ip address (ie: if your gaming and some one else is youtubing you could limit the bandwidth on the other connection.)
